Electroejaculation

Electroejaculation is a procedure that induces ejaculation through a mild electrical stimulation administered via a probe inserted in the rectum. This is oftentimes done for men who have had a spinal cord injury or a pelvic nerve injury, although there are men who are neurologically intact and require this procedure. The procedure is done under general anesthesia if there is any sensation in the pelvic area. If there is no sensation then the procedure can be done in the clinic. The semen sample is then examined and either frozen or used for insemination.
